About The Author
Robert D. Edwards carried forward the original Dow Theory, developing a unified and chohesive presentation, including new and clearer analyses of pattern formations, trends, and support-resistance levels.

John Magee, a graduate of Massachussets Institute of Technology, USA, approached the stock market from an engineering point of view, building on the solid foundation laid down by Dow and Hamilton. An expert on both stock and commodity trading, he founded the well-known charting and advisory firm of John Magee Inc.

W. H. C. BASSETTI, editor and co-author of this edition, is an honours graduate of Harvard. His experience spans the modern history of the markets, beginning as a student and client of John Magee in the 1960s through the electronic markets of the present. He was formerly a Principal in California's first licensed commodity advisor, CEO of Blair Hull's Options Research Inc., Managing Partner of a market maker, and President of an options arbitrage manager. He is presently an Adjunct Professor of Finance and Economics at Golden Gate University, where he teaches technical analysis of stock trends.
